do have any workshop for the student this month of August or September. i will like to attend, can you send me the details please.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay – I am wondering what type of workshops? The easiest would be for you to phone your nearest Unisa centre to ask. You can find a list of our contact details on http://www.unisa.ac.za/default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=22795.
i am current studying basic business finance in short programme. i have B.Ed in business eduaction(Accounting option) in Nigeria equivalent to Bachelor in commerce of education. i want to be a charterred accountant(CA), which programmes i need to do before qualifying for CA. do i need to be CTA before becoming CA or CA before CTA.
should i registered for postgraducated diploma in accounting science then after for Honours degree in accounting science or which order should i follow to achieve my CA.
looking for your reply.
thanks
Hi,
The normal route towards becoming a CA(SA) is the BCompt (Bachelor of Accounting Science) followed by the Honours BCompt. If you pass the Honours BCompt with specific requirements, you obtain the CTA which enables you to go and write the first part of the qualifying examination with the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). SAICA developed a diagram that visually explains the process of becoming a CA. You can view it on their website at https://www.saica.co.za/Portals/0/LearnersStudents/documents/Diag_CareerInAccounting.pdf. You can apply to study at Unisa (if you do not already have a student number) up to 30 September for 2011. Read more about the application process at http://www.unisa.ac.za/Default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=23989. Your previous qualifications will be evaluated during this process. The admission requirements for the PGDA and the BCompt Honours degree is available at http://www.unisa.ac.za/Default.asp?Cmd=ViewContent&ContentID=1087.
Dear Sir or Madam
I would like 2 know what conversions need to be made to qualify for a SAICA ACCREDITED DEGREE if one holds a Btech Internal Auditing degree from Cape Peninsula University or does one qualify to do a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting if they hold the Btech Internal Auditing degree?
